I am aiming for the next release to be code complete by the end of this month with the first release candidate in testing, with the aim of pushing the new engine live in the first half of August. This update is a complete rewrite of the game engine and brings the game into a fully open world experience with no “edges”. More concrete information will be posted closer to the release date, however if you want to more closely keep track of what I am doing new links have been added to the website under “DEV TRACKER” where you can see the Trello boards I use to manage my own tasks.
Once the new Engine is live we will revisit the roadmap and return to much smaller scale more frequent updates, the engine rewrite just turned into this absolutely massive task – when I started I knew it was going to be difficult and significant but I had no idea what I was in for! The good news is once this is live the game is in an absolutely amazing position to push forward, I can’t wait to start adding things to the new foundations.
A small note for players using very old devices, unfortunately due to technical limitations I am no longer able to support devices running Gingerbread or Honeycomb, the update will only run on devices using Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0.1) or above.
