After the widely accepted success of yesterday’s changes I have had a closer look and play tested a whole bunch of zones in the game. To clarify on the intended effects of these changes:
- Make the gameplay loop much faster and less of a snooze fest
- Make content significantly more accessible to players of the appropriate level
- Massively increase the drop rate of equipment
My conclusion – it was a big step in the right direction and all three of these things have been achieved but it could go further, and I am pushing it quite a lot further with today’s hotfix patch. As such, the following changes are now live:
- HP/EXP further reduced (ratio stays the same) on:

- Slime
- Cyclops Mystic
- Defiler
- Imp
- Imp Ranger
- Imp Knight
- Imp Mage
- Harbinger
- Gastropod
- Fire Slime
- Minotaur
- Ghost
- Ice Slime
- Behemoth
- Revenant
- Shadow
- Sorcerer
- Demon
- Hellhound
- Orc
- Orc Worker
- Orc Mage
- Bandit
- Hunter
- Wasp
- Thief
- Movement speed reduced on
- Firewyrm
- Slime
- Defiler
- Imp
- Imp Ranger
- Imp Knight
- Imp Mage
- Harbinger
- Fire Slime
- Minotaur
- Ghost
- Sorcerer
- Demon
- Orc
- Wasp
- Respawn rates increased for various monsters
- Removed the Ninja Shambler from Abyss
Some of the HP / EXP reductions are dramatic – I encourage you to go through and see how you handle a bunch of the old zones. Mid-tier monsters are the most severe reductions, it is my hope this change allows people to hunt areas such as Abyss much more easily. Take it easy everyone!
