PTR 0.7.0 Build 27 Released!

Hiho everyone,

It’s Friday so it is PTR time! I have done a bunch of little PTR releases this week so this isn’t the feature packed Friday release we usually have, but in the spirit of working in sprints here it is anyway. This release includes a bunch of back-end data structure changes for the incoming spells system, this is not something you can see or interact with on the client just yet.

Changes

  • Accounts and Heroes all deleted due to DB restructuring
  • Client side localization support for spells
  • Client and server side spell data (client side files possibly need encrypting)
  • Server domain model for per-vocation known spells and hotkeys
  • Netcode for telling the client what spells and hotkeys you have when entering realm
  • Revised approach of pixel perfect scaling on the desktop client

For you guys the only thing for you to look at and test this build is the desktop scaling. It is nice that I am able to roll out a PTR with back-end and netcode changes for the next feature without everything being completely broken for a change, adding new stuff is a lot easier than rewriting the engine that’s for sure.

I am unfortunately still quite unwell so my productivity is pretty low (I think the NPC AI has more brain capacity than me atm). Doing what I can when I can.
