Changes
- Revisited targeting behaviour around safe zones
- Aggressive monsters are untargeted if you walk into a safe zone
- Targeting an aggressive monster while in a safe zone is not possible
- Friendly NPCs targeted remain targeted in safe zones
- Aggressively targeted players are de-escalated to friendly targets in safe zones
- Added /nexus command
- Teleports players to the portal nexus, allowing them to fast teleport anywhere in the game
- Added new PVP Penetration stat
- Player armour was reducing PVP damage too much
- This allows you to ignore a percentage of the target player’s armour with all attacks
- I have defaulted it to 75% for the moment, although player health regen still makes everyone tanky af
- I think ideally in future I will have the base level at 50%, with means to counter player health regen in PVP via debuffs
- Keep in mind you do not have any abilities yet, and auto-attacks will only make up at best half of your outgoing damage
- Lowered player base movement speed by .5 sqm/second
- First steps into scripting NPCS
- Ember Guards will now face their spawn direction after returning to their post
- Ember Guards will now return to their post after respawning
- NPC AI changes
- NPCs will now scan for any viable player in range that has hit them before returning home should they lose their target for any reason
- To be extended in future so NPCs also track other NPCs that have hit them, allowing them to check for enemy NPCs as well as enemy players in this case
- Various small mapping fixes as identified by the community
- Translations as provided by the community
Next
I will be adding a whole bunch of PTR chat commands:
- /mastery <name> <level>
- /magic <name> <level>
- /nourishment <minutes>
- /hp <health>
- /resource <value>
- /supporter <true, false>
And modifying the damage calculation system to correctly determine which mastery / magic to apply as bonus damage on auto attacks – aiming for deployment Friday.
